Punjab & Sind Bank falls on reporting net loss of Rs 524.62 crore in Q4

Punjab & Sind Bank is currently trading at Rs. 30.40, down by 1.70 points or 5.30 % from its previous closing of Rs. 32.10 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 31.70 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 32.05 and Rs. 28.75 respectively. So far 8412 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 61.50 on 17-May-2017 and a 52 week low of Rs. 28.75 on 17-May-2018.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 34.10 and Rs. 28.75 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 1813.37 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 85.56%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 8.73% and 5.71% respectively.

The Bank has reported a net loss of Rs 524.62 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2018 as compared to net profit of Rs 8.33 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. However, total income of the Bank increased marginally by 0.57% at Rs 2122.05 crore for quarter under review as compared to Rs 2110.11 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2017.

For the year ended March 31, 2018, the Bank has posted a net loss at Rs 743.80 crore as compared to net profit of Rs 201.08 crore for the previous year. Total income of Bank decreased marginally by 2.53% at Rs 8529.95 crore for year under review as compared to Rs 8750.97 crore for the year ended March 31, 2017.
