Bank of Baroda surges despite reporting net loss of Rs 3102.34 crore in Q4

Bank of Baroda is currently trading at Rs. 144.30, up by 3.10 points or 2.20 % from its previous closing of Rs. 141.20 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 142.50 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 146.25 and Rs. 140.50 respectively. So far 878447 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 206.60 on 26-Oct-2017 and a 52 week low of Rs. 125.50 on 18-May-2018.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 146.25 and Rs. 126.35 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 38029.29 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 64.03%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 27.97% and 8.00% respectively.

The Bank has reported a net loss of Rs 3102.34 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2018 as compared to net profit of Rs 154.72 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the Bank decreased marginally by 0.91% at Rs 12735.16 crore for quarter under review as compared to Rs 12852.44 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2017.

For the year ended March 31, 2018, the Bank has posted a net loss of Rs 2431.81 crore as compared to net profit of Rs 1383.13 crore for the previous year. However, total income of Bank increased by 2.75% at Rs 50305.69 crore for year under review as compared to Rs 48957.99 crore for the year ended March 31, 2017.
