Rural Electrification Corporation (REC) has received an approval for incorporation of Project Specific Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV), as wholly owned subsidiary of REC Transmission Projects Company (RECTPCL) for Northern Region System Strengthening Scheme-XL (NRSS-XL).
The Board of Directors of the company at their meeting held on May 28, 2018, has approved the same.
REC is engaged in providing financial assistance to state electricity boards, state government departments and rural electric co-operatives for rural electrification projects as are sponsored by them.
