In continuation to the letters dated June 10, August 2, 2016 and May 29, 2018, whereby the Company had informed that one of their subsidiaries viz. EHIRCL had received an order dated 28.5.2018 from the Office of the Special Committee directing it to deposit an amount of Rs 5,03,36,52,824 in the account of the Delhi Government, in favour of Director General of Health Services, within month of receiving the said order. Fortis Healthcare is hereby informed that a writ petition was filed by EHIRCL before the Hon'ble High Court of Delhi challenging the aforesaid order. The Hon'ble High Court has stayed the order passed by the Special Committee, subject to deposit of Rs 5 Crore within 3 weeks and has directed that no coercive action shall be taken against EHIRCL till the next date of hearing i.e. December 6, 2018. Further, the court has also ordered the Special Committee to provide details of the rationale and calculation of their alleged demand.
