Maruti Suzuki stops production of Ignis’ diesel variant

Maruti Suzuki India has stopped production of diesel variant of its hatchback Ignis due to low demand.

The model was launched by the company in January last year and has sold more than 72,000 units of the variant so far. The company has registered average monthly sales of over 4,500 units of Ignis during the month of January-May 2018.

Maruti Suzuki India (formerly known as Maruti Udyog) is an automobile manufacturer in India. It provides passenger cars, utility vehicles and vans. The firm also offers pre-owned car sales, fleet management and car financing services.
