GAIL India’s wholly owned subsidiary -- GAIL Gas has entered into a strategic partnership with Uber, the world’s largest ridesharing company, to promote the usage of CNG (Compressed Natural Gas) across various cities in India. In the first leg, the initiative is being rolled out in Bengaluru and will subsequently be extended in other cities.
A memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed between the two companies at GAIL Gas CNG Station near Bengaluru airport.
GAIL India is India’s principal Natural Gas Company with activities ranging from Gas Transmission and Marketing to Processing (for fractionating LPG, Propane, SBP Solvent and Pentane); transmission of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG); production and marketing of Petrochemicals like HDPE and LLDPE and leasing bandwidth in Telecommunications.
