Asian Paints gains on investing Rs 4,000 crore at Visakhapatnam, Mysuru facilities

Asian Paints is currently trading at Rs. 1260.55, up by 6.50 points or 0.52% from its previous closing of Rs. 1254.05 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 1259.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 1273.25 and Rs. 1254.05 respectively. So far 23240 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 1335.10 on 28-May-2018 and a 52 week low of Rs. 1082.00 on 23-Mar-2018.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 1,279.80 and Rs. 1243.05 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 121933.22 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 52.79%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 26.84% and 20.27% respectively.

Asian Paints is investing around Rs 4,000 crore at its Visakhapatnam and Mysuru facilities in the current fiscal year, with an aim to add 1.1 million kilo litre to its present output.

The company is setting up plant with a 5 lakh KL per annum capacity at Visakhapatnam and a 6 lakh KL plant at Mysuru, with an investment of Rs 1,785 crore and Rs 2,300 crore, respectively.

Asian Paints is engaged in the business of manufacturing, selling and distribution of paints, coatings, products related to home decor, bath fittings and providing of related services. The Company's business segments are Paints and Home Improvement.
