Vedanta soars on planning to raise Rs 1,500 crore via NCDs

Vedanta is currently trading at Rs. 234.35, up by 4.35 points or 1.89% from its previous closing of Rs. 230.00 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 228.10 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 235.60 and Rs. 228.10 respectively. So far 395623 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 355.70 on 29-Jan-2018 and a 52 week low of Rs. 222.20 on 19-Jun-2018.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 239.50 and Rs. 225.70 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 87075.28 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 50.14%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 31.07% and 14.78% respectively.

Vedanta is planning to raise funds up to Rs 1,500 crore through issuance of offer rated, secured, redeemable, non-cumulative, Non-Convertible Debentures (NCDs) in one or more tranches. The company will seek approval for the same from shareholders in the annual general meeting of the company to be held on July 14, 2017.

Vedanta is a diversified natural resources company, whose business primarily involves producing oil and gas, zinc- lead-silver, copper, iron ore, aluminium and commercial power.
