GMR Infrastructure and Megawide Construction Corporation’s Joint Venture (JV), GMR-Megawide Cebu Airport Corporation (GMCAC) has opened the new Terminal T2 at Mactan Cebu International Airport (MCIA) on July 1, 2018.
With the opening of new terminal, the entire international operations has moved from existing Terminal 1 to brand new Terminal 2 and total capacity of MCIA has expanded from 4.5 mppa to 12.5 mppa. The new terminal, spanning 65,500 square meters, will not only lessen congestion in MCIA but will also offer wide-ranging retail environment. Terminal 2 is set to transform MCIA into a world-class facility and resort-gateway.
GMR Infrastructure is engaged in generation of power, mining and exploration activities, development of highways, infrastructure development, such as development and maintenance of airports and special economic zone; construction business, including engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contracting activities and operation of airports and special economic zones.
