NTPC will reportedly shut down its highly polluting coal-based Badarpur power plant located in Delhi from August 1, 2018. The said plant has been identified as a major source of air pollution in Delhi.

NTPC is the largest power utility company in India and has presence in Coal, Gas, Solar PV, Hydro and Wind Power Generation and Coal Mining.
