Power Grid trades higher on commencing operation of its subsidiary company

Power Grid Corporation of India is currently trading at Rs. 183.45, up by 0.60 points or 0.33% from its previous closing of Rs. 182.85 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 183.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 183.45 and Rs. 183.00 respectively. So far 500 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 226.40 on 08-Aug-2017 and a 52 week low of Rs. 180.80 on 05-Jul-2018.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 185.00 and Rs. 180.80 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 95659.62 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 56.91%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 37.08% and 6.01% respectively.

Power Grid Corporation of India (PGCIL) has commenced commercial operation of its 100% wholly owned subsidiary namely Powergrid Warora Transmission on July 10, 2018.

Powergrid Warora Transmission secured through Tariff Based Competitive Bidding (TBCB) has successfully put the elements into commercial operation progressively from November, 2016 and the entire project put into commercial operation by July 10, 2018.

PGCIL is an Indian state-owned electric utilities company headquartered in Gurgaon, India. Power Grid transmits about 50% of the total power generated in India on its transmission network.
