Kajaria Ceramic shines on reporting 32% rise in Q1 net profit

Kajaria Ceramic is currently trading at Rs. 177.00, up by 1.30 points or 0.74% from its previous closing of Rs. 175.70 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 178.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 179.70 and Rs. 173.55 respectively. So far 2836 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 190.80 on 28-Apr-2012 and a 52 week low of Rs. 84.00 on 18-Nov-2011.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 181.00 and Rs. 172.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 1306.11 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 53.51% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 15.48% and 31.01% respectively.

Kajaria Ceramics has posted a rise of 31.85% in its net profit at Rs 22.19 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2012 as compared to Rs 16.83 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income has increased by 30.72% at Rs 353.18 crore for quarter under review as compared to Rs 270.17 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2011.

On consolidated basis, the company has posted a rise of 30.34% in its net profit at Rs 22.25 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2012 as compared to Rs 17.07 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income has increased by 31.11% at Rs 356.35 crore for quarter under review as compared to Rs 271.79 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2011.
