Tata Power gains on setting up Electric Vehicle charging stations in Hyderabad

Tata Power is currently trading at Rs. 70.05, up by 0.30 points or 0.43% from its previous closing of Rs. 69.75 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 70.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 70.40 and Rs. 69.75 respectively. So far 10587 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 101.75 on 05-Jan-2018 and a 52 week low of Rs. 68.15 on 17-Jul-2018.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 71.60 and Rs. 68.15 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 18865.80 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 33.00%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 52.03% and 14.90% respectively.

Tata Power has set up three fast charging Electric Vehicle (EV) stations at the Hyderabad campus of leading IT firm Cognizant. After recently launching Mumbai’s first EV charging infrastructure, with nine charging stations across significant locations, Tata Power will expand to Hyderabad to encourage people to shift from vehicles run on fossil fuels to eco-friendly electric vehicles.

The two Tata group companies, Tata Power and Tata Motors, will jointly execute the consolidated e-mobility solution as part of Cognizant’s ‘Go Green’ programme for its employees in Hyderabad. While Tata Motors will supply 10 Tigor Electric Vehicles (EVs), Tata Power will provide the necessary electric mobility infrastructure by installing three charging stations at the company’s sprawling campus.
