Kesar Enterprises trade jubilantly on commissioning 44 mw Cogen Power Plant at Baheri

Kesar Enterprises is currently trading at Rs. 51.25, up by 2.00 points or 4.06% from its previous closing of Rs. 49.25 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 49.35 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 51.50 and Rs. 49.00 respectively. So far 2191 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 64.50 on 01-Nov-2011 and a 52 week low of Rs. 35.60 on 22-May-2012.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 51.50 and Rs. 46.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 34.83 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 55.48% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 10.38% and 34.14% respectively.

Kesar Enterprises has completed construction of 44 mw Cogen Power Plant at Baheri in Uttar Pradesh. The power plant has become operational (commissioned) from July 17, 2012. As per the power purchase agreement executed by the company, a small portion of the power generated will be utilised by the units of the company while the major portion will be supplied to the grid and sold to Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation (UPPCL).

The company is engaged in the manufacture, marketing & sale of a wide-range of products, that can be broadly divided into the following two groups - Sugar, Bio-Products & Chemicals - Sugar, Alcohol, Alcoholic Beverages, Agri-products and Distribution & Storage of Bulk Liquid Cargo at Kandla & port related activities.
