M&M’s Auto Sector registers 13% growth in July sales

Mahindra & Mahindra’s (M&M) Auto Sector has sold 47,199 vehicles in July 2018, compared to 41,819 vehicles during July 2017, a growth of 13%. The domestic sales stood at 44,605 vehicles during July 2018, registering a growth of 12%.

In the Passenger Vehicles segment (which includes UVs, Cars and Vans) the company sold 19,781 vehicles, a fall of 6% and in the commercial vehicle segment, the company sold 19,284 vehicles, a 28% growth. In the Medium and Heavy Commercial Vehicles segment, M&M sold 866 vehicles for the month of July 2018. Exports stood at 2,594 vehicles for the month, a growth of 31%.

M&M is the flagship company of the Mahindra Group, a multinational conglomerate based in Mumbai, India. Amongst the various business interests of its parent group, the company is mainly involved in the automobile manufacturing. It is one of the leading auto companies of India.
