AXIS Bank shines on reporting 22.41% rise in Q1 net profit

AXIS Bank is currently trading at Rs. 1028.00, up by 4.70 points or 0.46% from its previous closing of Rs. 1023.30 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 1030.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 1038.40 and Rs. 1022.10 respectively. So far 132018 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 1367.10 on 01-Aug-2011 and a 52 week low of Rs. 784.50 on 02-Jan-2012.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 1081.80 and Rs. 1014.55 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 42506.25 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 37.30% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 41.15% and 13.08% respectively. 

AXIS Bank has has posted a rise of 22.41% in its net profit at Rs 1153.52 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2012 as compared to Rs 942.35 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income has increased by 29.24% at Rs 7818.37 crore for quarter under review as compared to Rs 6049.27 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2011.

Gross non-performing assets (NPAs) remained unchanged at 0.31% as compared to the same quarter of previous year.

Axis Bank is the third largest private sector bank in India. Axis Bank offers the entire spectrum of services to customer segments covering large and mid-corporate, SME, agriculture and retail business.
