L&T’s construction arm bags orders worth Rs 1,904 crore

Larsen & Toubro’s (L&T) construction arm -- L&T Construction -- has won orders worth Rs 1,904 crore across various business segments.

The Power Transmission & Distribution (PT&D) Business of L&T Construction has bagged EPC orders worth 1,723 crore. The business has won an order in the Kingdom of Morocco for the construction of 400kV and 225kV Transmission Lines to evacuate power from the Midelt solar power station. The business has bagged another order from Egyptian Electricity Transmission Company for the construction of a 220kV overhead transmission line from Toshka in Egypt. This will form a crucial link in the Egypt-Sudan electricity interconnection project.

The business has also bagged order in Algeria to build a 60/10kV Gas Insulated Substation in Annaba city. Yet another order from the Nepal Electricity Authority is for the design, supply, installation, testing and commissioning of 220kV Substations.

The Smart World & Communication, another Business of L&T Construction, has secured an order worth Rs 181 crore for the implementation of Goa Intelligent City Management System for Panaji City as the Master System Integrator (MSI).

L&T is an Indian multinational engaged in technology, engineering, construction, manufacturing and financial services with over $18 billion in revenue.
