Tata Motors’ arm to launch electric E-type sports car: Report

Tata Motors’ wholly owned subsidiary -- Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) has reportedly approved the production of an electric version of its E-type sports car, as the company has planned to deliver it by summer of 2020.

Jaguar Classic, a UK-based automaker which restores Jaguar cars, will convert the vehicles to electric power at its Classic Works facility in Coventry.

Tata Motors is India’s largest automobile company. Through subsidiaries and associate companies, Tata Motors has operations in the UK, South Korea, Thailand, South Africa and Indonesia. Among them is Jaguar Land Rover, the business comprising the two iconic British brands.
