DB Corp reports 28% fall in Q1 net profit

DB Corp has reported results for first quarter ended June 30, 2012.

The company has registered a fall of 27.64% in its net profit at Rs 45.87 crore for the quarter under review as compared to Rs 63.39 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. However, the total income from operation of the company has increased by 6.44% at Rs 374.20 crore for Q1FY13 as compared Rs 351.55 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.

DB Corp is the only media conglomerate that enjoys a leadership position in multiple states, in multiple languages and is a dominant player in its all major markets. The company’s other business interests also span the radio segment through the brand - MY FM - radio station with presence in 7 states and 17 cities and a strong online presence in internet portals.
