Steel Strips Wheels (SSWL) has bagged exports order from US Truck & Trailer aftermarket for its Truck Steel wheels plant in Chennai. The order comprises of 76,000 Truck Wheels to be shipped in next 12 months and the total order value is over $3.5 million.
The company is in discussions with other large truck & trailer makers in USA and expects to get more orders in this segment in months to come. The company expects to increase its presence in the high potential Truck & Trailer wheels market in US & EU in the coming months.
SSWL is a part of the Steel Strips Group, headquartered in Chandigarh. It is engaged in the manufacturing of single piece steel wheel rims in the range of 10 to 30 inches for scooters, passenger cars, utility vehicles and tractors. It supplies rims to almost all major manufacturers of two wheelers, three wheelers, four wheelers, tractors and heavy commercial vehicle.
