Hero MotoCorp reports 10.32% rise in Q1 net profit

Hero MotoCorp has reported results for first quarter ended June 30, 2012.

On the standalone basis, the company has posted a rise of 10.32% in its net profit at Rs 615.46 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2012 as compared to Rs 557.89 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income has increased by 9.95% at Rs 6247.28 crore for quarter under review as compared to Rs 5681.73 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2011.

Hero MotoCorp is the World's single largest two-wheeler motorcycle company. Honda Motor Company of Japan and the Hero Group entered a joint venture to setup Hero Honda Motors Limited in 1984. The joint venture between India's Hero Group and Honda Motor Company, Japan has not only created the world's single largest two wheeler company but also one of the most successful joint ventures worldwide.
