Bajaj Auto reports 30% rise in August sales

Bajaj Auto has registered a rise of 30% in total sales to 437,092 units in August 2018 against 335,031 units in August 2017. The company’s total exports out of the above stood at 181,461 units, a gain of 35% as compared to 134,372 units sold in the corresponding month last year.

The sales of the motorcycles increased by 28% and stood at 362,923 units in the month under review against 283,861 units in August 2017. The company has reported 45% jump in commercial vehicles sales, which stood at 74,169 units as compared to 51,170 units in month of August 2017.

Bajaj Auto is world’s fourth largest two and three-wheeler manufacturer. Bajaj Auto has three plants in all, two at Waluj and Chakan in Maharashtra and one plant at Pant Nagar in Uttaranchal.
