GAIL India is reportedly planning to expand its international trade, on the basis of its eight rank globally in handling gas volume, supply base ranging from Qatar to Russia, Australia and the US and the company’s 15 million tonne of liquefied natural gas (LNG) portfolio. This move will help the company to mitigate risk that comes with total dependence on the domestic market.
GAIL India is India’s principal Natural Gas Company with activities ranging from Gas Transmission and Marketing to Processing (for fractionating LPG, Propane, SBP Solvent and Pentane); transmission of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG); production and marketing of Petrochemicals like HDPE and LLDPE and leasing bandwidth in Telecommunications.
