Ashoka Buildcon soars on getting extension in concession period from PWD

Ashoka Buildcon is currently trading at Rs. 137.30, up by 4.80 points or 3.62% from its previous closing of Rs. 132.50 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 133.05 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 139.00 and Rs. 132.80 respectively. So far 10031 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 5 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 196.73 on 30-Apr-2018 and a 52 week low of Rs. 117.26 on 25-Sep-2017.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 140.00 and Rs. 131.25 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 3854.33 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 54.11%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 35.19% and 10.70% respectively.

Ashoka Buildcon has received extension in concession period from Public Works Department of the State of Maharashtra (PWD). The company has been allowed to collect toll for the period from September 08, 2018 to December 18, 2018 for the Project namely four laning of road sections from Ahmednagar to Ghodegaon and three laning from Ghodegaon to Wadala under Build Operate-Transfer (BOT) basis on State Highway 60.

Ashoka Buildcon builds and operates roads and bridges in India on a build, operate and transfer (BOT) basis. It currently operates one of the highest numbers of toll-based BOT projects in India.
