Indian Energy Exchange (IEX) has achieved record high of 290 million units (MU) for the delivery on September 27, 2018. The average price discovered in the market was Rs 7.09 per unit. The maximum sell bid in a 15 minute time block touched as high as 14,583 MW while the purchase bid touched 18,082 MW with the cleared volume at 13,216 MW.
IEX is India’s first and no. 1 electricity exchange. It is a transparent, neutral, demutualised, nationwide, automated, online electricity trading platform. It enables efficient price discovery and price risk management for participants of the electricity market including industries eligible for open access through anonymous platform.
