Pen manufacturer Flair Writing Industries has filed draft red herring prospectus (DRHP) with the market regulator Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) ) to raise funds through an initial public offering (IPO). The IPO comprises equity shares of face value of Rs 10 each of Flair Writing aggregating up to Rs 450 crore. The company’s shares are proposed to be listed on the BSE and NSE.
The funds will be utilized towards purchase of machinery, constructing new factory buildings and related facilities at manufacturing plant in Valsad, Gujarat, funding working capital requirements, repayment/pre-payment of debt and for general corporate purposes. Axis Capital and Edelweiss Financial Services are the book running lead managers to the issue.
The company has been a manufacturer since March 2017 and the exclusive distributor since January 2017 of certain Reynolds branded pens in India. Flair owns the exclusive rights to the Pierre Cardin trademark in India for class 16 products, including pens and also are distributor of ZIG pens in India.
