Maruti Suzuki reports 5.9% rise in September production

Maruti Suzuki India has reported 5.9% rise in its production to 160,219 units in September 2018, as compared to 151,239 units in September 2017. Of total, the company manufactured 36,987 vehicles under mini segment (including Alto, Wagon R) in September 2018, as against 37,078 units manufactured in corresponding month previous year.

The company manufactured 78,589 vehicles under Compact segment; 4,739 vehicles under Midsize; 22,226 units under Utility Vehicles segment and 15,118 units under Vans category. The company has also produced 2,560 vehicles under CV segment (including super carry) in September 2018, as against 1,023 units produced in corresponding month previous year. 

Maruti Suzuki India (formerly known as Maruti Udyog) is an automobile manufacturer in India. It provides passenger cars, utility vehicles and vans. The firm also offers pre-owned car sales, fleet management and car financing services.
