Torrent Power has reported results for first quarter ended June 30, 2012.
On standalone basis, the company has posted a fall of 70.07% in its net profit at Rs 104.36 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2012 as compared to Rs 348.71 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. However, total income has increased by 2.38% at Rs 2138.76 crore for quarter under review as compared to Rs 2089.04 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2011.
On consolidated basis, the company has posted a fall of 69.60% in its net profit at Rs 104.43 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2012 as compared to Rs 343.57 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. However, total income has increased by 2.51% at Rs 2150.86 crore for quarter under review as compared to Rs 2098.15 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2011.
