Tata Power gains on receiving approval to issue NCDs worth Rs 5,500 crore

Tata Power Company is currently trading at Rs. 78.90, up by 1.40 points or 1.81% from its previous closing of Rs. 77.50 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 78.90 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 79.80 and Rs. 77.50 respectively.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 101.75 on 05-Jan-2018 and a 52 week low of Rs. 59.90 on 09-Oct-2018.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 86.15 and Rs. 67.60 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 20961.99 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 33.00%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 52.03% and 14.90% respectively.

Tata Power Company has received approval for issuance in one or more tranches, of noncumulative, redeemable, taxable, listed, rated securities in the form of Non-Convertible Debentures (NCDs) upto an aggregate amount not exceeding Rs 5,500 crore on private placement basis to any persons, entities, bodies corporate, companies, banks, financial institutions and any other categories of eligible investors.

The Board of Directors of the company at its meeting held on October 29, 2018, approved the same.

Fuel Security and Logistics, Generation (thermal, hydro, solar and wind), Transmission, Distribution and Trading.
