PNB reports net loss of Rs 4,532 crore in Q2

Punjab National Bank (PNB) has reported results for second quarter ended September 30, 2018.

The Bank has reported net loss of Rs 4,532.35 crore for the quarter under review as against net profit of Rs 560.58 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the Bank decreased by 1.19% at Rs 14,035.88 crore for Q2FY19 as compared Rs 14,205.31 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.

The Bank’s gross NPA for the July-September quarter of the current fiscal increased to 17.16%, as compared to 13.31% in the same quarter of the previous year. Besides, Bank’s Net NPA stood at 8.90% in Q2FY19.
