Amara Raja Batteries to invest Rs 540 crore for advanced stamped-grid technology

Amara Raja Batteries is all set to invest Rs 540 crore for the deployment of advanced stamped-grid technology. This will allow the company to offer high-performance batteries to meet its customers’ present and future needs.

The company termed this investment as an important milestone in the process of development of advanced lead-acid batteries. The announcement comes amid a strong volume growth, primarily driven by the export and original equipment segments.

Amara Raja Batteries is the flagship company of the group and is engaged in manufacturing of industrial and automotive batteries. The company was first to introduce Valve Regulated Lead Acid (VRLA) batteries with three-year warranty in industrial and automotive applications.
