Vedanta is planning to inject Rs 15,000 crore to raise the alumina refinery capacity at Lanjigarh three-fold to 6 mtpa and firm up downstream sector in Odisha in three years. The company has already invested over Rs 50,000 crore in Odisha projects.

Vedanta is a diversified natural resources company, whose business primarily involves producing oil and gas, zinc- lead-silver, copper, iron ore, aluminium and commercial power.
