Bank of India gains despite reporting net loss of Rs 1,156 crore in Q2

Bank of India is currently trading at Rs. 81.95, up by 0.95 points or 1.17% from its previous closing of Rs. 81.00 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 81.80 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 82.95 and Rs. 81.20 respectively. So far 348782 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 216.70 on 17-Nov-2017 and a 52 week low of Rs. 73.30 on 25-Oct-2018.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 92.95 and Rs. 79.70 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 14266.28 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 83.09%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 12.59% and 4.32% respectively.

The Bank has reported net loss of Rs 1,156.25 crore for second quarter ended September 30, 2018 as against net profit of Rs 179.07 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the Bank decreased by 6.90% at Rs 10,800.24 crore for Q2FY19 as compared Rs 11,600.47 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.

The Bank’s gross NPA for the July-September quarter of the current fiscal increased to 16.36%, as compared to 12.62% in the same quarter of the previous year. Besides, Bank’s Net NPA stood at 7.64% in Q2FY19.
