NHPC reports 20% rise in Q2 net profit

NHPC has reported results for second quarter ended September 30, 2018.

The company has reported 19.62% rise in its net profit at Rs 1,218.51 crore for the quarter under review as compared to Rs 1,018.64 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company increased by 19.11% at Rs 2,966.58 crore for Q2FY19 as compared Rs 2,490.70 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.

NHPC is engaged in electric power generation by hydroelectric power plants. The company is also engaged in contracts, project management and consultancy works.
