SpiceJet surges on launching daily direct flights from New Delhi to Hong Kong

Spicejet is currently trading at Rs. 83.55, up by 1.35 points or 1.64% from its previous closing of Rs. 82.20 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 85.85 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 86.75 and Rs. 83.00 respectively. So far 877371 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 156.25 on 20-Dec-2017 and a 52 week low of Rs. 60.60 on 04-Oct-2018.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 86.75 and Rs. 78.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 5005.41 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 60.03%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 8.79% and 31.18% respectively.

SpiceJet has flagged off a daily direct flight service from New Delhi to Hong Kong, seeking to tap the growing business and leisure travel demand. The company is also eyeing the Indian students’ community in Hong Kong.

Following the introduction of the new service, SpiceJet offers over 2,500 seats per week on the Delhi-Hong Kong-Delhi route, which will be serviced by the latest 189-seater Boeing 737 Max plane.

SpiceJet is among the first private companies that stepped into the Indian aviation sector.
