Tata Motors’ arm to reduce workforce temporarily at UK plant: Report

Tata Motors’ wholly owned subsidiary -- Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) is reportedly in a process to lay-off its workforce by around 500 in a temporary move at its plant in Wolverhampton, central England. The company is in process to make alterations in vehicle production schedules, the engine manufacturing centre will take a temporary pause in production.

Tata Motors is India’s largest automobile company. Through subsidiaries and associate companies, Tata Motors has operations in the UK, South Korea, Thailand, South Africa and Indonesia. Among them is Jaguar Land Rover, the business comprising the two iconic British brands.
