GMR Infra's arm raises Rs 225.60 crore via CCDs

GMR Bajoli Holi Hydropower (GBHHPL), a subsidiary of GMR Energy and a step down subsidiary of GMR Infrastructure has signed definitive agreement for an investment of Rs 225.60 crore through Compulsorily Convertible Debentures (CCDs) in GBHHPL by TNB Topaz Energy SDN Bhd., a wholly owned subsidiary of Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB).

The proceeds from the CCDs will be used for the construction of 180 MW run of the river Bajoli Holi project. The hydroelectric project is under advanced stage of construction on river Ravi in the state of Himachal Pradesh.

GMR Infrastructure is engaged in generation of power, mining and exploration activities, development of highways, infrastructure development, such as development and maintenance of airports and special economic zone; construction business, including engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contracting activities and operation of airports and special economic zones.
