Greaves Cotton’s Q1 net dips 10%

Greaves Cotton has reported results for first quarter ended June 30, 2012.

The company has registered a fall of 9.73% in its net profit after tax attribute to the Corporation and its subsidiaries at Rs 31.55 crore for the quarter under review as compared to Rs 34.95 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. However, the total income from operation of the company has increased marginally by 2.25% at Rs 411.58 crore for Q1FY13 as compared Rs 402.52 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.

Greaves Cotton (GCL) is a well-diversified engineering company. The company is engaged in manufacturing of diesel and petrol engines, gensets, agro equipments and construction equipments. The company owns six manufacturing units located in the states of Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu.
