In continuation to earlier letter dated May 21, 2018, New Delhi Television has informed that the appeal(s)/application filed by the company for the matter(s) related to assessment year 2009-10 was listed for hearing before the Honorable Delhi High Court on December 12, 2018. Since the matter(s) were referred to a new bench, therefore the same have been adjourned for final hearing on May 14, 2019. The Court has, however, passed an order of absolute stay on the demand and prosecution till disposal of the matter(s). Further, verbal assurance as given by Tax Department on April 16, 2018, that no recovery would be made in respect of penalty demand till the next date of hearing, continues to bind the Tax Department.
