Maruti Suzuki plans to stop manufacturing BS-IV cars by end of 2019

Maruti Suzuki India is planning to stop manufacturing Bharat Stage (BS)-IV compliant cars by the end of 2019. The decision is in line with the Supreme Court's order stating that no BS-IV vehicle should be sold in the country from April 1, 2020 as the BS-VI emission norms would come into force.

Maruti Suzuki India (formerly known as Maruti Udyog) is an automobile manufacturer in India. It provides passenger cars, utility vehicles and vans. The firm also offers pre-owned car sales, fleet management and car financing services.
