Mahindra Forgings reports net profit of Rs 4.52 crore in Q1

Mahindra Forgings has reported results for first quarter ended June 30, 2012.

On standalone basis, the company has reported a net profit of Rs 4.52 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2012 against net loss of Rs 0.65 crore for the corresponding period last fiscal. Total income increased by 10.30% at Rs 105.00 crore during the quarter under review from Rs 95.19 crore in the year-ago period.

Mahindra Forgings is the largest supplier of forged components (like crankshafts and steering knuckles) to the Indian automotive market, commanding a 40% market share. The company's forging and machining facility is one of the top three forging companies in India with an installed capacity of 42,000 MT.
