NHPC falls on temporarily shutting down Power Station at Himachal Pradesh

NHPC he scrip is currently trading at Rs. 25.95, down by 0.15 points or 0.57% from its previous closing of Rs. 26.10 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 26.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 26.15 and Rs. 25.85 respectively. So far 55746 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 34.50 on 04-Jan-2018 and a 52 week low of Rs. 22.20 on 09-Oct-2018.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 26.45 and Rs. 25.85 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 26725.53 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 73.67%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 15.73% and 10.59% respectively.

NHPC has temporarily shut down its Parbati-III Power Station (520 MW) in the state of Himachal Pradesh for three months, with effect from December 20, 2018 for repair and maintains of HRT.

NHPC is engaged in electric power generation by hydroelectric power plants. The company is also engaged in contracts, project management and consultancy works.
