Power Grid gets nod to raise FPI shareholding limit to 35%

Power Grid Corporation has got shareholders' approval to raise shareholding limit of Foreign Portfolio Investor (FPI) to 35 percent from 30 percent at present.
The special resolution to increase in shareholding limit of FPIs, including Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs), limits in Power Grid to 35 percent is approved with the requisite majority. At present, the FPIs/FIIs holding in Power Grid is about 24 percent.

Power Grid Corporation of India is an Indian state-owned electric utilities company headquartered in Gurgaon, India. Power Grid transmits about 50% of the total power generated in India on its transmission network.
