Jaypee Infratech edge higher despite reporting 12% dip in Q1FY13 net profit

Jaypee Infratech is currently trading at Rs 53.80, up by 0.45 points or 0.84% from its previous closing of Rs 53.35 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs 54.50 and has touched a high and low of Rs 55.45 and Rs 53.65 respectively. So far 371142 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs 65.70 on 24-Oct-2011 and a 52 week low of Rs.33.00 on 22-Dec-2011.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs 55.55 and Rs 51.25 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs.7493.30 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 83.27% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 9.85 % and 6.87% respectively.

Jaypee Infratech’s net profit declined by 11.71% at Rs 209.94 crore for the first quarter ended June 30, 2012 as compared to Rs 237.78 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2011. However, the company’s total income has increased by 8.89% to Rs 679.05 crore for Q1FY13 from Rs 623.63 crore for the similar quarter of the previous year.
