NHPC incurs Rs 54.18 crore losses on shutting down Power Station at Himachal Pradesh

NHPC has completely shut down its Parbati-III (520 MW) Power Station in the state of Himachal Pradesh. The shutdown will cause tentative loss of 35.1 MUs in production of electricity and 6.5% in PAF.

The tentative financial loss will be under as loss based on the interim order determined by Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (CERC) for Rs 24.04 crore and loss based on final tariff determination by CERC of Rs 30.14 crore.

NHPC is engaged in electric power generation by hydroelectric power plants. The company is also engaged in contracts, project management and consultancy works.
