NHPC temporarily shuts down Chamera-III Power Station in Himachal Pradesh

NHPC has temporarily shut down Chamera-III Power Station (231 MW) in Himachal Pradesh with effect from January 6, 2019 to January 14, 2019 (tentative) for repair and restoration work of U1 GIS Bay. The said shutdown will cause tentative loss of 9.48 MUs in generation and 2.74% in PAF.

NHPC is engaged in electric power generation by hydroelectric power plants. The company is also engaged in contracts, project management and consultancy works.
