Mahindra Satyam rises on reporting 45% jump in Q1 net profit

Mahindra Satyam scrip is currently trading at Rs. 89.15, up by 5.50 points or 6.58% from its previous closing of Rs. 83.65 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 85.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 89.50 and Rs. 84.85 respectively. So far 23, 22,000 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 89.50 on 30-Jul-2012 and a 52 week low of Rs. 62.10 on 26-Aug-2011.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 89.50 and Rs. 81.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 10,491 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 42.64% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 29.32% and 28.04% respectively.

The company has reported a rise of 44.49% in its net profit at Rs 332.56 crore for the quarter under review as compared to Rs 230.16 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. The total income from operation of the company has increased by 30.74% at Rs 1738.06 crore for Q1FY13 as compared Rs 1329.39 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.
