Woes of electricity generating firms have increased further as their outstanding dues on state distribution companies (discoms) rose to Rs 39,498 crore in October 2018, up 24.7 per cent from a year-ago levels, amid stress in the power sector.

Adani Power is currently trading at Rs. 49.65, down by 0.55 points or 1.10% from its previous closing of Rs. 50.20 on the BSE. The scrip opened at Rs. 50.20 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 50.35 and Rs. 49.65 respectively. So far 213497 shares were traded on the counter.
