GMR Infra surges on reporting net profit of Rs 24.49 crore in Q1

GMR Infra is currently trading at Rs. 30.80, up by 0.70 points or 2.33% from its previous closing of Rs. 30.10 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 30.75 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 31.60 and Rs. 29.85 respectively. So far 460445 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 64.45 on 20-Aug-2010 and a 52 week low of Rs. 28.05 on 09-Aug-2011.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 31.60 and Rs. 28.05 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 11716.23 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 71.39% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 20.44% and 8.17% respectively. 

GMR Infrastructure has reported unaudited results for the first quarter ended June 30, 2011.

The company reported a net profit of Rs 24.49 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2011 as compared to a net loss of Rs 6.96 crore for the corresponding quarter last year. Its total income has soared 243.42% at Rs 267.94 crore for the quarter under review from Rs 78.02 crore for the same quarter last year.

On consolidated basis, the Group has posted a net loss after tax and minority interest and share of profit from associates of Rs 66.69 crore as compared to a net profit of Rs 28.44 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2010. Its total Income has increased by 46.28% at Rs 1944.74 crore for the quarter under review as compared to Rs 1329.48 crore for the similar quarter of the previous year.
