Lanco Infratech jumps as its arm commissions solar photovoltaic plant

Lanco Infratech is currently trading at Rs. 17.80, up by 0.45 points or 2.59% from its previous closing of Rs. 17.35 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 18.25 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 18.25 and Rs. 17.75 respectively. So far 1067839 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 74.70 on 24-Aug-2010 and a 52 week low of Rs. 16.00 on 05-Aug-2011.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 19.30 and Rs. 16.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 4177.54 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 68.24% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 19.02% and 12.74% respectively. 

Lanco Solar, a fully owned subsidiary of Lanco Infratech has commissioned 80KwP Grid Connected Solar Photovoltaic Power Plant at the Parliament House Complex. Their Rooftop PV energy solution has been running successfully for over four months now, and generates upto 400 units of electricity on a daily basis. It serves as a showcase of how green energy can be used in various government projects as a viable option while constructing residential and commercial spaces.

LANCO Solar was awarded the contract to build, operate and maintain an 80 KwP Solar Photovoltaic Rooftop Power Plant in the Parliament House Annexe by the Punjab Energy Development Agency or PEDA, which was the nodal agency under the guidance of MNRE.

Lanco has already signed a power purchase agreement for 35 MW solar PV project in Gujarat under the state power policy. It is also building a 75 MW crystalline based solar PV power project in Dhule district, Maharashtra. This is in line with LANCO’s aspiration of emerging as the leading developer and turnkey EPC service provider in the country. 100 MW of solar thermal in Rajasthan is under development by Lanco Solar.
